Every year we celebrate World Mental Health Day on 10 October. World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.
In this episode, HSA Psychiatric Social Worker and Registered Mental Health Nurse Jasmine Powell and Pamella Williams respectively, underline mental health as a universal human right. This includes the right to be protected from mental health risks, the right to available, accessible, acceptable, and excellent quality care, and the right to liberty, independence, and inclusion in the community.
Cayman Kind Action Committee Romelia Welcome and Rotary Central member Michelle Majid also joined the show and shared their respective roles in the community in promoting and supporting individuals struggling with mental health.
