Relationships are the most valuable currency we can ever obtain. When God wants to bless you, it will more than likely be through someone. Likewise, when the enemy wants to thwart you, it will usually be through someone. It is incumbent upon us to appropriately recognize which individuals should be in our lives and which roles they are meant to occupy. There are expiration dates on relationships. Even the relationships that are eternal will go through changes. As a child grows the nature of the parent child relationship will be modified. It will shift and evolve. What do you do when a relationship has expired? You cannot keep someone who wants to leave. In Luke chapter fifteen we find the story of the prodigal son. He went to his father and asked for his inheritance and then he left. The father dd not chase him down. Jesus, the good shepherd will go after the sheep that is lost. He doesn’t chase the one who chooses to leave. Some people just leave. Let them go. It is another season. You will be fine. God will bring others into your life that will fulfill and complete that role or He will fill it with Himself. Stop chasing people.
