Access isn’t given, it is earned. True authentic relationships are willing to pay the price to have high levels of access. You can’t let your guard down with just anybody. It is dangerous to allow just anyone to have total security clearance in your life or your business. Poor discernment in this area can be costly or in some cases even deadly. The birthplace of resentment is when people take for granted your time and your counsel. They were precious to you but never to them. Pay attention when people trivialize what you believe to be precious. The greatest gifts you will ever give will be your heart, your time, or your resources. Others may never truly understand the price you paid for your treasure. Use discretion. Use wisdom. If you don’t, the consequences will be hard.
