The longtime Valley resident and former research librarian for the LA Times now has one goal: to set sail with nary a care. We talk about what's changed in her Sherman Oaks neighborhood, what it was like living among the sweet spirits in her home, and what it was like working in the old LA Times building for nearly 20 years.
Gregg is 72 and has lived a life. From getting to know Andy Kaufman when they became friends in grade school, to moving out of NYC after seeing Jimi Hendrix rip it up at the Cafe Wha?, to touring with Bob Dylan in 1984 supporting the Infidels album, Gregg has stories for days. What kind of stories? All the rock n roll type that everyone loves to hear. Best of all, they are all true.
He's spent over 20 years in television, but one look through his IG and you will see he's a talented photographer who shares the spotlight with others. Most recently he is doing just that through his book California Love which features the work of over 100 photographic artists "celebrating our beautifully diverse and progressive nation-state of california." And best of all: all proceeds from sales of this book benefit the LA Center of Photography.
