As you all can imagine this was a tall task for a 17 year old, find out how Jona adapted and ultimately conquered his dreams by earning himself a Division 1 Scholarship and a Bachelors Degree all this while only having 6 years of the English language under his belt! This is one of the most inspirational stories you will hear. Porterville High School Varsity Cross Country head coach Jesus Salas joins Hear Me Out sports podcast to talk about his running career in high school, junior college and eventually at the D-1 level!

Jesus tells the story of how he first got into running and when he ultimately knew that he was going to make running his main sport. Dont sleep on Cross Country and Track & Field, wait till you hear what their training regime is during summer vacation! Jesus also lets us in on the areas running has taken him and places he wishes he could visit! 

Being a big LA Laker fan himself Jesus explains to the listeners why he thinks the Lakers are favorites to take the NBA Title again and listen to the little jab he throws at the Utah Jazz.

A local valley success story comes to Hear Me Out sports podcast to share his Journey from the outskirts of Hanford to the big stage in Reno, Nevada.

Joey Chica was a kid with big aspirations coming from hard working immigrant parents he was introduced to the beautiful game at a young age to this day you can catch him dribbling a ball inside of his home. Episode 6 we get a look into Joey’s career and how he established himself as one of the brightest young soccer talents the valley has ever seen. Joey also talks about his life growing up and his time in college. He learns to adapt quick as he is constantly on the move in his young career making school changes both in high school and college. Its fair to say Joey had a phenomenal experience with the use of soccer but he hasn’t closed the door on a possible return to the pro ranks… Stay tuned and hear what he has to say about that!

A United Soccer League journeymen and local valley legend joins Hear Me Out Sports podcast to share his story with myself & the listeners of his stellar career in the USL.

Jose “Chiva” Cuevas shares with me his career highlights and his battles to the top of the ladder in USL. Chiva gives me the insight on how he almost signed in the Bundesliga 2 the second division in Germany prior to landing in the USL, where might I add he didn’t have to bad of a career appearing in 108 matches and winning a USL Championship title. Chiva is not only a local legend on the field but get to know his life now post professional soccer, his new gig as director of coaching and how he takes video game streaming to another level.
