Boundaries are healthy. Boundaries are necessary. But what happens when a boundary stops being something you discern—and becomes your automatic response every time somebody disappoints you?
In this episode of Hear My Heart: Just a Lil Heart-to-Heart, Coach Tiffany Rochelle asks a harder question:
Have my boundaries become walls?
We're talking about forgiveness, reconciliation, trust, access, old wounds, and the difference between protecting your heart and hardening it.
Because sometimes cutoff is wisdom. Sometimes distance is necessary. Some doors absolutely need to remain closed.
But sometimes the person who accidentally stepped on your toe is paying for the person who stomped on your foot years ago.
And if everybody who disappoints you permanently loses access, eventually you may look around at your isolation and call it “peace.”
Baby… we might've spelled that wrong. 😩
In this heart-to-heart, we're separating:
Forgiveness — heart work.
Reconciliation — relationship work.
Trust — rebuilt through evidence and consistency.
Access — determined with wisdom.
Before you cut them off, get clear:
Is this a pattern or an incident?
Have I communicated what hurt me?
Did they take responsibility?
Is my response about what THIS person did—or what somebody else taught me to expect?
Heart Check: Am I responding from wisdom, healing, fear, punishment… or habit?
Because boundaries should help us love wisely—not make love impossible.
You are Heard. Healed. Here on purpose.
If You Feel It—HOLLA.
