Your Heard Tell for Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, is turning down the noise of the news cycle and getting to the information we need to discern our times by once again reviewing the tremendous fraud, waste, and abuse that "do something" legislating during COVID-19 crisis as more investigations show how fraudsters took advantage of unaccoutable governement, and why we are doomed to repeat this fail loop if we don't learn the lesson. We go to West Virginia, which has seen the Mountain State go from a Democratic Party super majority rule to Republican Party super majority control in under 25 years, and yet the state's problems, challenges, and rankings against other states on things like business and education are unchanged, and what lesson we should learn about the narrative that just giving one party power or winning the next election means nothing without good governance. Our guest is Yael Ossowski of Consumer Choice Center, great friend of the program, who joins us to talk about the FTX story and how - while crypto is one facet of this scandal - the real story is how Sam Bankman-Fried and associates have perpetrated one of the biggest frauds in recorded human history. Yael also talks about how the news media is covering the FTX story, what it means for the future for cryptocurrency, what regulation might be coming because of this, and how Washington, D.C. and the EU will be looking to move in going forward. Also, the 11th Circuit has vacated the special master and court intervention into the DOJ's investigation and search warrant and siezure of documents at former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago property, and how Trump playing fast and loose with not only documents but who he has been meeting with at Mar-a-Lago is part and parcel with what whe know about how the former president treats things like the law, the truth, and his own priorities. Plus, a New Zealand sports legend and Olympic gold medal winner passes away, but leaves an amazing legacy when it comes to helping others participate in life and sport with disablitiies like he did.
All that and more on this Friday edition of Heard Tell.
