“YOUR DUTY — YOUR JOB — AS A BLOOD-BOUGHT CHRISTIAN!”

Now, somebody might be thinking:

“Wait a minute… I thought salvation was a free gift?”

Yes, it is! You couldn't earn it. You couldn't buy it. You couldn't work for it. You couldn't deserve it.

Jesus paid for it!

He paid for it with His precious blood on Calvary! But here's where the responsibility comes in:

When Jesus saves you, He calls you!

When He redeems you, He gives you an assignment. When He pulls you out of darkness, He tells you to shine your light. When He changes your life, He expects you to tell somebody else what He has done!

You were not saved just to sit. You were saved to serve!

You weren't redeemed just to keep it to yourself.

You were redeemed to reach somebody else!

And if the blood of Jesus has covered your life, then you've got a Kingdom assignment.

Your workplace is an opportunity. Your family is an opportunity.

Your neighborhood is an opportunity. Your church is an opportunity.

Your testimony is an opportunity. Everywhere you go, you're carrying the evidence that

Jesus still saves, Jesus still delivers, Jesus still restores, and Jesus still changes lives!

So today we're going to talk about what it really means to be a blood-bought Christian.

We're going to talk about your responsibility to live for Jesus, represent Jesus, tell people about Jesus, serve Jesus, love people, stand for truth, make disciples, and keep the fire burning!

Because, church, we've got a job to do!

And I believe somebody listening today needs to be reminded:

YOU HAVE A PURPOSE!

YOU HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT!

YOU HAVE A TESTIMONY!

And most importantly—

YOU BELONG TO JESUS!

So wherever you are, open your heart, open your Bible, and get ready for the Word of God.
