Heart Check | Denise Doxzon | Jeremiah 17

Listen Later

Fresh Start Weekend with Denise Doxzon emphasized the importance of acknowledging our sin against God and recognizing how sin has separated us from Him in a world saturated in it. She encouraged us to walk in how God sees a situation and to consider whether we will respond in our own strength or in His. The enemy will try to mimic our past experiences to keep us bound, but we have the power to choose how we respond. Proverbs 4:23 instructs us to guard our hearts above all else, as it determines the course of our lives. In order to do this, we need to ACKNOWLEDGE our sin, ASK for forgiveness, and ACCESS His Holy Spirit power. This weekend provided practical guidance on how to work through the issues of our hearts, reminding us of the importance of tending to our hearts regularly. Are you ready for a Heart Check?

Our mission is simple, to help you become “a self-feeder” — getting to know God one day at a time by reading the Bible! Join us as we read through the entire Bible together!
