Rather, we should approach it as it is set forward in chapters 1 and 2- -why do the righteous serve God-- Is it because God is worth it in Himself, or is it because of all the good things he gives us- Whether good or ill befalls us, His name is blessed because of who He is, not because of what He does -not that what He does is out of character with who He is--.

Did you you know Paul talks about -hope- in Romans twice as much as he does in any of his other letters- In fact, hope is mentioned more often in Romans than in any other New Testament book.-It seems like we could use some hope these days. But how many Christians will instinctively turn to the place in the New Testament that talks about hope the most-

Paul sets forth how in Christ we not only have a new identity, but we discover where we belong-

Our nation is rightly angered over the George Floyd tragedy. The good news is that Christ, our Peace, has already done at Calvary what we never could. Christ established peace - achieved racial reconciliation- May we hear the voice of Christ who weeps when we reject the things that make for peace-

Remember who you were - who you are now as God's masterpieces in Christ. We no longer listen to the voices of Mr. Self-righteous or Mr. Inadequacy because we are united by faith to Christ. We serve as those who are greatly loved and have all His resources in our walk.

What is wrong with the world- We are- But God out of His great love for us, saved us in His Son and raised us up to new life. Amazing Grace- Remember who you were - who loves you-
