When you look at yourself… what do you see? We are called to be a reflection of Christ but oftentimes other things in our lives are being reflected. “As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.” (Proverbs 27:19) We should no longer be okay with allowing our circumstances and people to define us or blame them for our struggle. I encourage you to look inside your own heart and see what role you have been playing in your life.

The world tries to present a sense of “peace” to us but often the world’s peace looks like chaos, toxicity, disrespect, or disregard, it’s the opposite of God’s peace. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. The Heart's Condition. “...He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”

One of my Pastor’s once  said. "If you were in jail how would you bail your fellow cellmate out?" If you are still in captivity and incarcerated to your old habits and ways of thinking how could you ever bring hope to someone else going through the same thing?” The Lord wants to restore us and release us from darkness so we can help others who are still prisoners.

What do we do when we feel our faith is being tested? Over the years I have learned as we begin to know who God is our faith begins to increase as it’s tested. Through the process we  see goodness of God and his faithfulness!
