This gripping podcast episode tells the story of a little girl.  She was without a care in the world until all the sudden the war turned her world upside down.  She was sent to foreign lands with only the clothes on her back and nothing in her pocket.  No one knows if she will ever be able to return home again.  That was 30 years ago in Yugoslavia.  Sadly, it is a story that could not be more relevant today.  Listen to the story of Amina Horozic, from tragedy, to resilience, to achievement and in the end, hope.  May her story inspire the thousands affected by wars, wherever they may be.

Toastmasters is about much more than public speaking, it's about leadership.  It provides you with plenty of opportunities to experiment.   You might be familiar with Abbey, our speech champion and immediate past president.  She had plenty to do, such as carrying on the lofty standards of Heart of England Toastmasters and implementing hybrid meetings.  Listen to Abbey as she reflects on her year of leadership.

Follow Eric Gallina around the world. He is a French kid growing up in New York. He is working on a movie set in L.A. He is an auto journalist in London. All those experiences have led Eric to become the voice of design working for Luck Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer of the Hyundai Group. Before his flight to Seoul, I caught up with Eric in Frankfurt. What did all your experiences teach him? How do you communicate clearly to such a huge conglomerate? Don't miss a fascinating conversation. By pure coincidence, Eric even mentioned a Toastmasters speech. You can hear the 2015 world champion deliver a speech here, "The Power of Words".
