Loss cannot be avoided, unless you choose a life with no love or any type of fulfillment. It is a necessary component of life.

Acceptance is not getting over them, it’s about regaining a sense of connection to the memories with the person or phase of life, without being in denial about the loss itself.

Engaging in new and different activities could be helpful in generating new neurological pathways in the brain. This does change the way you’re thinking, it’s not just the passing of time that helps us forget, but the coping mechanisms that we develop along the way.
