  • God’s Justice and Mercy
Here are the tremendous advantages of being a Jew, not a pagan, that would draw Jews to seek transformed hearts and lives. But so many of them preferred to preserve only the outward trappings of religion. Is this the case with many 'nominal' Christians today?

  • God's Glorious Love on Display, part 2
In John 13:31-38, we see God's glorious love revealed in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and reflected in the lives of His people. Jesus commands us to love one another JUST AS HE HAS LOVED US! This is a love that is self-giving, gracious, and extended to the undeserving. We are fully known by our God, and yet we are fully loved! But there is a problem. Like Peter, we often approach spiritual matters with confidence in our own strength, only to discover that our best intentions are insufficient. Thankfully, Jesus has not simply commanded us to love and left us to accomplish it on our own. He has given us His Holy Spirit, through whom God's love is poured into our hearts. As we surrender ourselves to our good and gracious God, His love begins to overflow from us to others. In this way, the unseen God is seen in the world, and His glory is on display through His people. Our confidence, then, is not in our ability to love perfectly, but in the love of God PERFECTLY DEMONSTRATED in Jesus Christ, whose finished work is our only hope in life and death!

  • Unbelief is Real
Title: Unbelief is Real Speaker: Creston Thomas Series: Matthew Date: October 11, 2026 Bible: Matthew 11:20-24 This sermon examines the rebuke of Capernaum, Chorazin, and Bethsaida for their failure to repent despite witnessing Jesus' mighty works. The central argument contrasts the doubting yet faithful John the Baptist with the hardened hearts of these cities, illustrating that human effort or even miraculous signs are insufficient to compel belief without divine grace. The teaching explores the theological concept of double predestination, asserting that God has eternally decreed the destinies of both the elect and the reprobate, while simultaneously commanding believers to share the gospel faithfully. The tone is convicting and instructional, warning that those who reject the truth face a more severe judgment than even Tyre, Sidon, or Sodom. Ultimately, the message calls for submission to God's sovereign will and reliance on His grace for salvation, rather than frustration over the unconverted.

  • Thou Shalt See the King in His Beauty
VaultAI Summary: This sermon explores the divine desire for believers to behold Jesus Christ in His exalted glory, using Isaiah 33:17 as the foundational text. It draws a parallel between King Hezekiah's humiliation and subsequent exaltation during the Assyrian siege and the greater work of Christ, who was humbled in His passion and now reigns in majesty. The preacher emphasizes that while Christ's state of humiliation reveals His love and sacrifice, His current state of exaltation is the ultimate object of Christian yearning and hope. This vision of Christ's beauty serves to sanctify the believer, kindle hope in the present, and prepare the heart for the beatific vision in eternity. The message concludes with an exhortation to approach the Lord's Table with a desire to see the King in His beauty, allowing that sight to transform the soul and drive out sin.
