This week on Heart on the Altar, Brittani kicks off the Summer of Psalms series with one of her favorite passages: Psalm 27.
In a season filled with uncertainty, frustration, fear, and unanswered questions, David's words remind us where true confidence comes from. While being pursued by enemies and facing real danger, David declares:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?"
What if the answer to our fear isn't having all the answers? What if the answer is simply learning to desire God's presence above everything else?
In this episode, Brittani shares how God has been teaching her to stop striving, stop trying to control outcomes, and instead learn to dwell with Him, gaze upon His beauty, and trust Him in the waiting.
Key Verse:
"I have asked one thing from the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple." — Psalm 27:4
If you've been battling fear, uncertainty, disappointment, or simply feel distracted from God's presence, this conversation is an invitation to slow down and ask:
Do I really desire Jesus above everything else?
