On this episode, Batala and Courtney interview Darryl White about his preventive cardiology experience.  Darryl grew up with lots of cardiovascular disease in his family.  He decided to get a formal consultation including a calcium score test and understand how he could create generational health for himself and his extended family going forward.

On this episode we hear from Commissioner Brooke Cunningham, MD, who leads the Department of Health for the state of Minnesota.  Commissioner Cunningham breaks down the realities of racism in medicine and health and how she plans to help create a path of equity for all Minnesotans.

On this episode Batala and Dr. Courtney interview Madison Keller, a second year medical student at Louisiana State University.  Madison shares her journey of how she became interested in medicine, what she has learned so far, why she remains optimistic about the future and improved health outcomes for all people, and how she continues to dedicate her time to helping those experiencing the most disparities in Louisiana.
