Luke Ketterhagen’s path of becoming an international yoga teacher came to him when he needed it the most. Yoga came to him when he was at one of his most challenging chapters in his life. In fact, when his path presented itself, he was so caught up in the struggle he didn’t get in sync with it right away. He was so caught up in his head, he was keeping his eyes on another option that he thought he should be on. His pivot was when he was enrolled without his knowing into the Himalayan Institute’s yoga training program by its master (Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD), which is an opportunity only a few get to participate in. There is no doubt Luke is on the right path and is making a difference because he is.

His path is guiding people on how to take the best care of themselves mindfully. I
am a student of his and know that what he teaches enhances the quality of
peoples’ lives from around the world. He shares some beautiful knowledge on how
he keeps himself in his best state, so he can take on the world as his best
self, that will inspire you to do the same.

Interview with Kayla Nestor

For Kayla Nestor, connecting with her heart is what saved her. Growing up in an environment where drinking was a huge part of one’s identity, she was primed to be on a path of self-loathing habits and out of touch with her true self. Alcohol was what she knew, so that is what she reached for to mask the pain of uncertainty, emptiness, and instability. The heavy drinking habit eventually consumed her life, and things got dark. 

Her loved ones supported her when it was time for change. However, what really pulled her into the light was one simple act of kindness. From there, she dedicated her life to the cause, founding Wildly Kind, an OR-based non-profit that spreads joy through individual and community acts of kindness.

Kindness is what gives her purpose and fills her with self-love. This new relationship with herself is what keeps her sober. Listen in and hear how simple acts of kindness and life’s purpose blend beautifully, and be inspired to share some random acts yourself!
