En: Stalls are decorated with lights, and the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts fills the air.

Sl: Matej se sprehaja med ljudmi.
En: Matej strolls among the people.

Sl: Njegova sestra, Jasna, hodi zraven njega.
En: His sister, Jasna, walks beside him.

Sl: "Matej, kaj iščeš?" vpraša Jasna, ko opazi, da je njen brat videti zmeden.
En: "Matej, what are you looking for?" Jasna asks when she notices her brother looks confused.

Sl: "Ne vem," odgovori Matej.
En: "I don't know," Matej replies.

Sl: "Hočem nekaj posebnega za družino. Hočem jih presenetiti."
En: "I want something special for the family. I want to surprise them."

Sl: Jasna se nasmehne.
En: Jasna smiles.

Sl: "Matej, saj poznaš našega očeta in mamo. Rada imata stvari, ki so iz srca."
En: "Matej, you know our father and mother. They love things that come from the heart."

Sl: Matej pokima, a ne olajša mu izbire.
En: Matej nods, but it doesn't make the choice any easier.

Sl: Ljudje je veliko, stojnice so polne.
En: There are many people, and the stalls are full.

Sl: Ne ve, kje začeti.
En: He doesn't know where to start.

Sl: Mimo njega hodijo pari, družine, in vsi so srečni. On pa čuti pritisk.
En: Couples, families pass by him, all happy, while he feels the pressure.

Sl: Nato zagleda Anžeta, prodajalca na koncu uličice.
En: Then he spots Anže, a vendor at the end of the alley.

En: Anže is always smiling and has a knack for reading people.

En: Matej gathers courage and walks up to him.

En: "Hello, Matej," Anže greets him as if he knows him well.

Sl: "Kaj te prinaša danes na tržnico?"
En: "What brings you to the market today?"

Sl: "Iščem darila," reče Matej.
En: "I'm looking for gifts," says Matej.

Sl: "Ampak sem zmeden. Ne vem, kaj bi izbral."
En: "But I'm confused. I don't know what to choose."

Sl: Anže se nasmehne.
En: Anže smiles.

Sl: "Včasih je manj več, Matej."
En: "Sometimes less is more, Matej."

Sl: Kako to misli, se začudi Matej.
En: How does he mean that, Matej wonders.

Sl: Anže mu pokaže lesene srčke.
En: Anže shows him wooden hearts.

Sl: "To je darilo, ki pove zgodbo. Piši na njih osebno sporočilo."
En: "This is a gift that tells a story. Write a personal message on them."

Sl: Matej zadiha.
En: Matej takes a deep breath.

Sl: Preprosto, a popolno!
En: Simple, yet perfect!

Sl: Barviti srčki s kratkimi sporočili.
En: Colorful hearts with short messages.

Sl: Hitro pomisli na vsako osebo.
En: He quickly thinks of each person.

Sl: Na mamo, očeta, prijatelje.
En: His mother, father, friends.

Sl: "S temas srca govori," pravi Anže.
En: "Speak from the heart," says Anže.

Sl: Matejev stres kar izpuhti.
En: Matej's stress just melts away.

En: He chose the hearts and simply wrote thoughts on them that meant a lot to him.

Sl: Darila so postala osebna.
En: The gifts became personal.

Sl: Počutil se je olajšanega, skoraj lahkotnega.
En: He felt relieved, almost lighthearted.

Sl: Ko je zapuščal tržnico, je Matej občutil toplino.
En: As he was leaving the market, Matej felt warmth.

Sl: Jasna ga je povlekla za rokav.
En: Jasna tugged at his sleeve.

Sl: "Vidiš, ni tako težko.
En: "See, it's not so hard.

En: Sometimes the best thing you can give is just an emotion."

En: He learned something important: a gift is not just an object.

Sl: Njegovo srce in misli so tisti, ki štejejo.
En: It's his heart and thoughts that count.

Sl: In letos, na sv. Miklavža, bo družina to tudi začutila.
En: And this year, on St. Nicholas, his family will feel it.

Sl: Tako je Matej zapustil tržnico, z darili v rokah in toplino v srcu, pripravljen deliti ljubezen in hvaležnost.
En: Thus, Matej left the market, with gifts in his hands and warmth in his heart, ready to share love and gratitude.
