Drink of the Week: Bloodthistle Toxin

In a small glass throw in some ice

Add 2 oz of root beer

1 oz of whiskey

1 oz of triple sec

1 oz of creme de cacao

Slowly top it with 2 oz of orange juice

This week Juice and Tehl talk about their experiences with Healthcare's new Standard format. So far, everything is pretty cool. Tehl also mentions his casual disdain for Whales. All this and more on episode 53 of Hearthcore!

Drink(s) of the Week: Firebloom Toxin

This drink can be done a couple of different ways. You can make it a shooter with ¾ oz spiced rum, ½ oz kahlua, and ¼ oz cinnamon schnapps.

Or you can make it a sipping drink with 1 oz spiced rum, 3/4th oz kahlua, and ½ oz cinnamon Schnapps Over ice, I added a splash of ginger ale, which pairs well with and accentuates the cinnamon.

This week, Hearthcore is trying something new. Juice brings three friends into the mix as they have a relaxed discussion about Hearthstone and some of the new cards. It was fun to record, and hopefully it's as fun to listen to. All this and more on episode 52 of Hearthcore!

Whiskey of the Old Gods

*In a separate glass muddle a slice of grapefruit, 4-6 blackberries, a dash of simple syrup, a dash of angostura bitters, and a splash of club soda. (muddling is the fancy bartending term for squishing.

*Agitate the muddled mixture a bit, and then strain it into the the glass you will be drinking out of.

*Then add some ice, and then 2-3 oz of rye whiskey or bourbon. Stir it a bit, sip, and enjoy
