Responding to the rejection by the leading Priests and Pharisees at Solomon’s porch, Jesus spoke three parables chastising these leaders for their rejection of God’s authority. The third parable, the parable of the wedding feast is a parable of the judgment of God on any who would come to the feast on their own without the garment of God’s grace and mercy.
