Anna shares her hydroponic garden project at an elementary school where she worked with students to grow the plants and create healthy meals.
More from Anna: My name is Anna Shinohara, and I am from Novi, Michigan. I just graduated from Novi High School, and plan to attend the University of Michigan this fall! My future goal is to become a doctor. I have been a Girl Scout since Kindergarten, and with graduation, I am proud to complete my 13th year of Girl Scouting. Before high school, I was a gymnast for 10 years, then became a diver in high school on the school Swim and Dive team. I am also a violist, and was a member of the school orchestra, and plan to continue playing the viola in college! In my free time, I enjoy reading, cycling, cooking/baking, and watching tv.

Srishti shares how her project came about and the statewide impact her project has had on organ donation, especially for teens in drivers education.
More from Srishti: Srishti Gowda has been a Girl scout for eleven years. She has earned all three of the highest awards in girl scouting: the bronze, silver, and gold award. She has been a Gift of Life Michigan volunteer for the past four years and started a club at her high school called Gift8Lives. Music is another passion of hers, and she's been playing the violin since first grade. She extended this love of music towards volunteering, and spends time playing the violin to patients at a local hospital. Through girl scouts, she's learned that volunteering doesn't need to be as drastic as a trip to build a house in a third-world country. It can be as simple as playing a few pieces of music for hospital patients to brighten their day. She was appointed as a Health Equity High School Ambassador by the University of Michigan's School of Public Health outreach program, where she works to promote future Health Equity High School Summits and teach peers about the importance of a health equitable community. Because of her love of advocacy, serving the community, and interacting with patients, Srishti wants to study public health in college and eventually go into the medical field.

More from Josie: My name is Josie Banner and I completed my gold project in the summer of 2019. I have been a part of my girl scout troop for about 13 years which has been an incredible experience! I have gone to various camps, done many exciting activities, completed fulfilling projects, and have enjoyed wonderful friendships with my troop members. Outside of girl scouts, I love to write, read, draw, and hike. This fall, I plan to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to double major in computer science and film studies. I am very excited for what the future holds!
