1. We must not let a concession because of sin become permission to sin.2. We must always live in light of God's standard and not our own.3. When we fail to reach God's standard we must repent, receive, and resume.

A lack of humility leads to elitism, justifying sin, and selfish living.

If you want to live a significant life as a disciple of Jesus, you have to learn to become insignificant.

In making plans, start with a small view of yourself and a big view of your God.

We can parent with freedom from fear, pride, and selfishness, because our identity is found in being adopted as children of God through Christ.
