The scripture in Romans 8:28 states"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."  However, I do know thats not always comforting to hear this verse when you’re in the middle of a trial, a testing. I may not know what you're going through, but I know a God who does.  And He not only can get you through, but make you stronger as well.

Preparation can be done and when all is prepared, one still not be ready.  See, preparation is about the setup, but readiness is all about the execution...carrying a thing out.  Joshua was preparing the people for entrance into the Promise Land and also gave them a specific set of instructions so that they would be ready.  To be ready, you have to be in the right timing, right place, doing the right thing.  Are you ready?

When faced with difficult situations or difficult decisions, we must remember to seek God.  And when we do so, we must prepare for the blessing knowing that we serve a God that will do as He promised. Be ready to do the uncommon thing: walk in obedience, trust Him, remain courageous and watch God move!

At times in life, we all face "dry" situations, where things aren't working the way they're supposed to; things aren't lining up; you're not being fulfilled.  However, we can't allow emotions to rule, realize that life has ups and downs, accept that character is built in adversity, and remember who you truly belong to...God!

God said that He loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, so that those that believed would have eternal life.  The life that He spoke of is the "zoe" life or the fullness and abundance of life.  Eternal life doesn't mean time or condition, but supply.  God wants us to connect with Him, the eternal Source so that we will never run out of what we need.  We must learn to live from God, so that we can completely live for Him.

The scripture (1 Corinthian 2:10) says that the spirit reveals what God has promised us.  The spirit of God inside of us knows that there is revival, restoration and renewal if we just hold to the promise of that.  With nothing but a promise, Moses led the people of Israel out of bondage.  Where you are is not the end, and you may only be going through so that God can bring you to...His promise.

At times it may feel as if our breakthrough is buried behind years of disappointment, fear, jobs, bad relationships, distractions and depression.  However, God wants us to believe in the power of resurrection.  Just as Jesus told the people to remove the stone before He called Lazarus from the tomb, God is asking us to demonstrate our faith in Him by being willing to remove the "stones" from our life.

One of the main goals of discouragement is to make you return back to the very thing you initially had the courage to leave behind. You moved on for a reason...bring that back to your remembrance and use as fuel to continue forward.  Discouragement is never found where hope (expectation) exists.  God says that He has a plan for you...plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!

When you find yourself standing at lock doors, some of us want to breakthrough so bad that we try to break it down.  But God is saying why go through so much to break through that door when He has already given you the keys to open it.  Don't allow these locked doors in life to cause you frustration and desperation, when you have the expectation of God fulfilling His promises.

In life, no matter our social, economic, political, cultural, or religious differences, there is one thing we all have in common.  That thread that ties all of us together is ISSUES.  We all have them, situations that we would rather not be dealing with but nonetheless there are there.  However, like the woman in the Bible with the issue of blood, we can find resolution in Christ.
