Though there are many stories of love and many stories of sacrifice in the Old Testament, the two only truly came together for the first time at Calvary, where Christ in love provided the ultimate sacrifice for sin. Why? So that we could be sure of being in heaven with Him. The Bible speaks of only two destinations. Those that trust Christ are saved.
