In this episode he shares about the work the Lord is doing in Mexico, and how it grew from 10 churches with roughly 2800 people to 17 churches and 6000 people DURING the Covid pandemic. We talk about witchcraft, how it has been normalized in our culture, and the threat that poses for our families and churches. We wrap up our conversation with Bro. Tolman sharing his personal plan for reading the Bible.

Exodus 12:13 says "The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.".... but that was approximately 1500 years before Jesus came, and approximately 3,500 years before you and I came along, so why is it a big deal to us today?

There's an invitation from me AND from the Lord in this episode. You may have heard Matthew 11:28 before... "Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." 

... but what about the next verse? "Take my yoke upon you..." Does Jesus want us to rest, or does he want us to work? The better question might be, "What is the work that Jesus wants us to do that will lead to rest?"

"When you get here [death] it's too late." That's what Joseph's Mawmaw told us last week, so this week we're making sure everyone knows what the Bible says about salvation before it's too late!

We spent this weekend at a funeral, but oddly enough every message, every song, every scripture fit right in with what I've been studying lately! Death is not the end for those of us who are filled with the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is the earnest of our inheritance (what in the world does that mean?) and to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (how does that line up with everything else we know?) Hopefully this episode will answer a few of your questions about death and what comes next for the believer.

We had our first Hope Kids Service of the school year, and we are building on the basics. We had so much fun, and I definitely share about some of the fun and crazy things we did today, but we got serious when it came to the Word. The world is doing it's job of teaching our kids (and us too, honestly) that we all worship the same God and that there are many ways to get to Heaven, so it is our job to make sure our kids know (and we know) that JESUS is the one true God, and He is the ONLY way to Heaven. I'm breaking it all down in this episode, and we're talking about everything from ice breaker games to gnosticism. Haha!
