On This Week at Charlestown Road, Jason and Roger revisit Sunday morning’s sermon – It Is Good to Give Thanks – and Roger “interviews” Jason as a means of reminding all of us to give thanks for the people who have shaped us.
Jason and Roger kick off a new Friday series called Singing With Thankfulness. This week: Count Your Blessings. Get to know the author behind the hymn, think through its Psalm 40 roots, and sing along with a congregational recording. Counting your blessings is a great way to begin this weekend!
On This Week at Charlestown Road, Jason and Roger revisit Sunday morning’s sermon – Smiling at the Future – and think through what it takes to continue smiling, come what may.
Jason and Roger conclude their series on Questions Jesus Asked by looking at the incredible account of Jesus healing ten lepers. When only one came back to give thanks, Jesus asked, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?”
Thanks is more than a thought and more than a feeling. Thanks is to be given.
PREVIOUSLY IN THIS SERIES:
On This Week at Charlestown Road, Jason and Roger discuss how disciples of Jesus are called (and enabled) to handle the highs and lows of life in a way that helps others and honors King Jesus.
Jason and Roger look into one of the most provocative questions Jesus was ever asked: “Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” After asking for a common coin of the day, Jesus responded with a question of his own: “Whose likeness and inscription is this?”
What does it look like in 2020 to “render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s”?
PREVIOUSLY IN THIS SERIES:
On This Week at Charlestown Road, Jason and Roger revisit Sunday morning’s sermon – God’s First Questions – and zero in on one question in particular: “Where are you?” Why did God ask Adam that question in Genesis 3? How does he continue to ask the same question of us, even today?
