Honeychild Coleman is a Brooklyn based musician who has been active since the early 90s. From 1998 onward she became a founding member and organizer of the Sistagrrl Riots and she currently fronts Blues-Punk outfit The 1865 (Mass Appeal Records), as well as post-punk trio Bachslider and electro-punk duo GKA.

Brooks about her new book, 'Liner Notes for the Revolution: The Intellectual Life of Black Feminist Sound,' published by Harvard University Press.
