Honeychild Coleman is a Brooklyn based musician who has been active since the early 90s. From 1998 onward she became a founding member and organizer of the Sistagrrl Riots and she currently fronts Blues-Punk outfit The 1865 (Mass Appeal Records), as well as post-punk trio Bachslider and electro-punk duo GKA.

Brooks about her new book, 'Liner Notes for the Revolution: The Intellectual Life of Black Feminist Sound,' published by Harvard University Press. Daphne is an African American studies professor at Yale University with an interest in all types of music, from punk rock to folk and beyond.
