#HeavyBeats By AdamK

HeavyBeats HeavyHitters is our chance to hand the decks over to amazing talent that exists within our industry.

This month’s HeavyBeats HeavyHitters episode is in human!
Welcome Y-DAPT. Listen for the details all stacked at the start of the mix.

We’re unsure of which planet Y-Dapt comes from and what kind of pronoun to use, so we will stick with an adverb to describe the mix as Heavy-laden. Load it up and play it loud.

the risk with organisers so that they may reopen safely.
Thanks for nothing Boris.
Fortunately, some festivals are still going ahead.
That’s why we are…FESTIVAL READY!

HeavyBeats HeavyHitters is our chance to hand the decks over to amazing talent that exists within our industry.
This month’s HeavyBeats HeavyHitters is Austrian DJ/producer, DUBESQUE. You may have heard his productions on EI8HT, Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains label and Turbo Recordings. Let’s be honest. There are no bad releases in this guys back catalogue, and we put one of our favourites out there as an example; ‘Ich Bin Jetzt’.
Dubesque says “if you stay true to yourself musically you will always find people who appreciate your tunes” – HERE WE ARE! He is also our energy and is a legendary human. Listen and you will hear and for those that don’t here is another quote from our new favourite Austrian
“Be nice, be kind, be helpful – and if you reach a certain level you are obligated to send the elevator back down. Be who you needed when you were younger, helping
each other out is much fun!” Make your suggestion for future HeavyHitters [email protected]

This month’s HeavyBeats HeavyHitters are Abolengo Club, also known as Ben Torres and Dadier Almada.

The boys are from Mexico love techy rhythms and heavy kicks. Our kind of energy! We fell in love with their recent Ep featuring ‘I Don’t Mind” the lead title of the EP. It’s so good and you’ll hear it play whilst we find our about the boys at the start of the mix.
The boys have many musical influences as you will hear in our interview from old school dance music to Yacht Rock. Even some Mozart!

Previous Abolengo Club tracks have been supported by Marco Carola,
Joseph Capriati, Vanilla Ace, Gene Farris, Golfclap, Gettoblaster and many more:

There are so many headline DJ mixes with obvious spotify hit selections as the tracklist. If you love that then you are in the wrong place right now.

We say think differently when mixing tracks. Artificial intelligence might be able to mix 2 tracks together in sync but what it cannot do is be as creative as Adam K in the mix on 4 decks. Listen to this episode and hear what we mean!

HeavyBeats HeavyHitters is our chance to hand the decks over to amazing talent that exists within our industry and in this episode, we catch up with Oli a.k.a GAWP.
As ever our guest on HeavyHitters are interviewed by #HeavyBeats host @AdamKDJ so you get to know about the people behind the beats. Make sure you hear the reason behind GAWPs artist name and hear how people around the world actually pronounce it!

We love GAWP's individuality and personality which resonates throughout his undeniably HEAVY sound. You may have seen him on sites like Mixmag, DJ Mag and Earmilk and of course on labels like 7wallace, Helldeep and DirtyBird.

That's enough reasons to justify that GAWP is a HEAVYHITTER. We have a long history with GAWP but that’s for another moment sat around a campfire.
What we are here for now is HEAVYBEATS from one of the Norths (Leeds ;-) finest musical brains. Now check the 40minute mix as it has a serious groove, grumbling bass and vocals with flickery hats in all the right places.

Welcome to #HeavyBeats showcasing some of the heaviest electronic dance music from around the World. Mixed over 4 decks and presented by @AdamKDJ.

It is a question we get asked all the time. How Heavy Is Heavy?
Is a Beat is heavier than a Bass or lighter than a Hi Hat. Is the Bass heavy, or is it light? Can we know for sure how heavy (or light) the claps are?
All we can say is this conundrum is easily answered by listening to 60 minutes of #HeavyBeats.

Free your mind. Find the answers. Listen.
Respect to all the producers for making the beats.
Together. We got this.
#HeavyBeats.
