Faith is one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity. True, biblical faith is not about believing hard enough until things go your way, nor is it a formula for receiving health, wealth, and prosperity. Hebrews 11 paints a full picture of genuine faith, one that includes both miraculous victories and faithful endurance through suffering. Many of the heroes listed in that chapter never received the earthly reward they might have hoped for, yet their faith was just as real and just as honoring to God. Real faith is not tied to a specific outcome. It is anchored to the return of Christ and the restoration of all things. The challenge for every believer is to examine what their faith is actually resting on, and to choose trust in God not because of what He might give, but because of who He is.
