Scripture: Hebrews 4:1-13, Depending on yourself is not rest! Trusting in God results in experiencing God's rest. God's rest is where God is. The goal of the Sabbath was to remind the Israelites of God's rest, it was not to give them a "day off". When we stop trusting in God, an isolation of unbelief comes upon us and our hearts are hardened. The Word of God exposes our thoughts and intentions. Listen to the Word and believe it. God's Word does what it says and it always accomplishes what He intends and what is pleasing to Him. God's Word creates faith in us and it can stop people from becoming hard hearted in unbelief. God's Word diagnoses the heart, our spiritual scoliosis.
