4. The Title “Jesus then asked him, ‘What is your name?’ And he said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered him.” Luke 8:30

5. The Triumph “And they begged him not to command them to depart into the abyss. Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside, and they begged him to let them enter these. Then the demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned.” Luke 8:31, 32(b), 33

6. The Truth “’Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.’” Luke 8:39(b)

1. Because God is a Refuge and Strength, We Should Fear Nothing “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3

2. Because God Will Not Be Moved, We Should Fear Nothing “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us the God of Jacob is our fortress.” Psalm 46:4-7

3. Because God is in Control, We Should Fear Nothing “Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. ‘Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:8-11
