Peter and John are arrested for doing a good deed and Peter spends what seems to be his first of many nights in jail. Peter is released from jail a lot of times. Although this time there is no miraculous release. It is always good to remember that the apostles who led us, and our Lord himself, who died for us were seen as criminals. They were locked up and sent to jail and prison often times. They were executed. This is nothing different than what Jesus said would happen. Jesus did not tell us to start fighting back into pound. On the gates and two blow people up, and to shoot people and the bomb people know Jesus didn’t say any of that. Jesus said this would give you an opportunity to testify. It’s always good to remember that the ones who looked the most liked. Jesus are not the ones on the top, but often the ones at the very bottom.
