Another episode from the popular historically accurate series of "Crime Classics" directed by Elliot Lewis and starring Lou Merrill as our narrator, Thomas Hyland. Every effort was made to make these dramatic re-enactment of historical crimes accurate to the actual crime. Writers did hours of research on in old newspapers, court records, history books, etc. to ensure everything about the story, including dialects, music, etc. was appropriate to the period of the time the crime was committed. This program aired on June 22, 1953 and involves the marriage of a 16 year old girl to an elderly man... and what happens when she finds him boring and is being tutored by a much younger school master who has a background in chemistry!

One of the first DJ music shows featuring a husband and wife team of Andy and Virginia Mansfield in "Turn Back The Clock" broadcast mostly on the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service from 1948-61. It the first "Music and Talk" radio show. The first song is "Younger Than Springtime." Intro explains how the show worked...the "procedure" and the "purpose" if you will! It is a fun show to listen to if you like to hear a then modern version of a song compared to the then OLD version of the song... of course now they are both OLD and one is OLDER... but still good stuff!
