George Fenneman was the announcer... and straight man... and of course Groucho Marx was the host. They were lifelong friends...right up to 1977 when Groucho passed away.
Groucho Marx was the "King of Wit" and he could turn anything into something funny, especially if he had "targets" - the contestants on this show that is still seen on many cable TV shows and Youtube channels. This of course, is the radio version of a 1952 show with the secret word "Age"...always a good show.
From Groucho: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
