Anne Marie Kirollos, the first Egyptian graduate designer from Central Saint Martins is informed by a philanthropic approach of the position of Egyptian women within the society. Anne Marie K is a part of the 3rd generation in the Bishara Textiles Manufacturing Co. She is the daughter of a well renowned Egyptian designer Marie Louis Bishara, and the granddaughter of the founder of BTM; Louis Bishara. BTM is a vertically integrated company specialized in the production of high quality textiles and ready-made garments. Anne Marie K explores this notion by fusing empowered feminine tailoring and elegance with Egyptian traditional arts and crafts in order to reinvent women empowerment and allow a woman to feel treasured in what she wears.
