After taking some time off to #amplifymelanatedvoices for the #blacklivesmatter movement — Jo and Jonathan take a moment in this episode to check their own cultural biases as Filipino-Americans and their views on the current state of the US and the fight against racism that is so deeply rooted in the country. In understanding where their own cultural biases originated from, they segue into a conversation about raising emotionally intelligent children and touch on topics like what it means to give space and hold space for their children to own their emotions, in order to have uncomfortable yet necessary conversations.
