  • The Judge and JD Show - He Left the Military and Built an amazing brand in Texas

A veteran co-founder. A Hill Country distillery named after its elevation. And an agave spirit that has no business being this good. Justin Braune built 1693 Whisky from the ground up in Fredericksburg, Texas, and this week he's at Pioneer Bar telling the whole story.

He covers the full origin: how a military veteran decides to start a craft distillery, the 2024 rebrand from Luckenbach Road Whiskey to 1693 (the name is the elevation, 1,693 feet above the surrounding Texas cities), and the lineup: a 4-year aged Texas bourbon, cask strength, rye, and Elevación, an agave spirit made from 100% Mexican agave, finished right there in Fredericksburg. That last one will surprise you. They get into what it actually takes to get your bottles onto Texas liquor store shelves one account at a time, the craft spirits boom happening across the state, and what's coming next for the brand. No fluff. Just a founder telling the real story of building something in one of the most iconic small towns in Texas.

  • The WallBuilders Show - Supreme Court Liability And Border Fixes That Change Daily Life

A lot of headlines feel like noise until you ask one question: who is actually being held accountable? That’s where we start on Good News Friday. We walk through a US Supreme Court decision that shifts the legal landscape for trucking companies, especially when crashes involve drivers who aren’t properly trained, don’t meet basic standards, or can’t read critical road signs. When liability gets real, incentives change fast, and that can mean fewer tragedies on the highway and clearer options for families seeking justice after negligence.

Then we dig into a surprising development from the Department of Justice: a massive fund designed to help victims of government “weaponization” seek redress through a defined process. We talk about what it could mean for trust in institutions, why lawful avenues for grievances matter, and how accountability is supposed to work when government actors cross the line.

We also hit two big immigration policy stories with real-world impact: DHS fast-tracking border barriers near Big Bend to disrupt trafficking routes, and the US stepping away from the UN Global Compact on Migration. That opens a bigger conversation about sovereignty, assimilation, culture, and the difference between compassion and chaos. If you want news you can evaluate instead of just react to, listen through and share your take with us.
