Hello, Friend! In episode 7 of season 2 (“eps2.4_m4ster-s1ave.aes”), we see Ray and Elliot play a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Joanna may need to rethink her penchant for wearing white. Angela keeps rocking those fake eyelashes. Darlene remains determined. Mr. Robot and Elliot find an uneasy alliance. If you’re ever in a bind, here’s hoping we all have a friend like Leon to stay by our side: “You’re gonna get a letter on Tuesday. Do what it says. Yo man, when you see Whiterose, make sure you say I did you good. I’ll be rooting for you, cuz. Always.” Listen to our Mr. Robot podcast and please subscribe, rate and review.

In an explosive episode all about masters and slaves — you know, typical slang for computer equipment — we got to see how Angela and Darlene attempt to carry out their plan to hack the FBI — with a little help from Mobley and Trenton. In episode 6 of season 2 (“eps2.4_m4ster-s1ave.aes”), we see Elliot finally embrace the idea that Mr. Robot is somehow there to protect him. We saw some amazing guest appearances, such as Alf and get a strong sense of how Elliot sees his mother — not the greatest. One thing is for sure: Maxine the dog won’t need to stick around to deal with Ray and his nefarious dealings. Lots of Simpsons references in this episode. Alas, poor Gideon, even in death he can’t get respect. Please listen, rate, review and subscribe to our podcast if you like what you here.

Hello, Friend. Here’s our review of Season 2 Episode 4 of Mr. Robot, called “eps2.2_init1.asec” — in a lot of ways the origin story for fsociety and the beginnings of Mr. Robot the hacker. Elliot’s struggles are real — and we see the game of chess take front in center as a tool for improving his vision for the future and maybe exorcising Mr. Robot from his life forever. On a similar journey, Angela is also gaining insight from her personal development courses that she seems obsessed with. Do we finally have insights into what Evil Corp Philip Price’s plans are for dealing with the massive hack that took the world economies down? What about White Rose? Should she fire that snarky protege? One thing is for sure, we definitely wish that the “Careful Massacre of the Bourgeoisie” was a real movie — it looks hellah campy. Hello, Friend. Is wearing an #fsociety mask any different from the masks we regularly adorn in our everyday lives? Tune into this latest installment of our podcast for our review of the second episode of season 2 of Mr. Robot, called “eps2.0_unm4sk-pt2.tc.” We go deeper into Elliot’s mind, which is none too comforting — and we see both Elliot and Angela go to great lengths to re-program themselves and maybe try to act against their true natures. Gideon, the most spectacular patsy in recent pop culture history, he’s just never going to win. Neither is the Evil Corp CTO Scott Knowles, who maybe should have gladly let Tyrell assume that position for all of the good fortune he’s had since taking on that job. Featured song at the end of this podcast is “Bull in the Heather” by Sonic Youth — a mild tribute to Angela…and one of our favorite bands of yore. #mrrobot #sdcc
Hello, Friend. Please join us for our recap and discussion of the premiere episode of season 2 of Mr. Robot, called “eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc” — where we pick up just a few short weeks after that fateful hack that took place on May 9, 2015 according to our best calculations. We get to check in and see that Elliot’s life is very different from where we left him previously. He still seems quite shaken up by the events that unfolded — and he continues to be unnerved by his associations with the sociopathic Tyrell. Darlene is left holding a lot of the responsibility as Elliot chooses to room with his distant and disinterested mother. Elliot still somehow manages to make friends and that’s where Leon comes in. Gideon makes a last-ditch effort to appeal to Elliot’s senses but to not much avail. Hello, Friend. To quote Mr. Robot: “Is any of it real? I mean, look at this, look at it! A world built on fantasy! Synthetic emotions in the form of pills! Psychological warfare in the form of advertising! Mind altering chemicals in the form of food! Brainwashing seminars in the form of media! Controlled isolated bubbles in the form of social networks. Real? You want to talk about reality? We haven’t lived in anything remotely close to it since the turn of the century!” Join us for our recap of the Season 1 finale of Mr. Robot (eps1.9_zer0-day.avi) as we delve into what would the everyday impact be if the currencies of the world and any associated debts were obliterated.
