Hi everyone, on today's episode I invited local sports podcaster and journalist Chris Camello. On the show, he shares with us a little about his Pedro upbringing, what led him to start a sports podcast and he also helped shed some light on how this pandemic has affected global, national and local sports communities. As I know nothing about sports, I contributed to this conversation by talking about my favorite sports movies. We give a word of encouragement to high school and college athletes who are missing out on opportunities to hone their skills and show them off for the community. We are sorry and we are still rooting for you!
I hope you enjoy this episode with Chris Camello and be sure to check out the links below!

Hi friends!
In today's episode we talk about almost everything except for the Coronavirus! From the latest season of "Dead To Me", a Netflix show strongly connected to San Pedro, to the idea of Drive-In Movie Theaters coming back into our lives, and everything in between, such as the future of buffets. We feel like everyone is just about over all the pandemic news, and that's how we feel too. That being said, after the break Josh shares his experience of getting tested for Covid-19.

Hi friends and listeners, today on the show I have invited Sanam Lamborn, friend, local San Pedran and English Professor at Marymount California University, to talk about a fun new project she's started called "Eat in San Pedro". Right now it exists as a facebook group, Instagram and YouTube channel with the goal of supporting our San Pedro Restaurants.
Listen to how she was inspired to start this, how it works and why it's important, more now than ever, to support our local cafes and restaurants.

On today's episode, we talk about an incredibly relevant topic these days, especially during this Stay At Home order here in LA, which is domestic violence. The truth is it's only safer at home for some. In today's show Elizabeth Eastlund, Executive Director of Rainbow Services sheds some light on this issue and tells us about Rainbow services, a local organization working to help those who suffer from domestic violence.
I hope you learn a lot from our conversation and please be sure to check out the links below to support Rainbow Services.

Today on the show Josh and I go over shows we're watching and podcasts we're listening to as well as the local coronavirus related updates. Joining us on the show is now 5-time guest, Angela Romero, Founder of the San Pedro Heritage Museum and local historian. She's been actively capturing how this pandemic has affected our community since things really escalated back in March. Her photo of empty grocery shelves landed the cover of San Pedro Today's April Issue because of its historical significance. We ask her what prompted her to take the initiative and get on the frontlines of capturing these historical events.
She also tells us what we can expect from the museum in the coming weeks. Please visit the museum's website for more info.

On today's show we get an update from one of our favorite guests about some of the most vulnerable during this pandemic, our homeless neighbors. Amber Sheikh Ginsberg is an LA based non-profit consultant that has been heavily involved with making resources known to our local homeless community. From resourcing and dropping off tents to sitting with the Mayor to brainstorm solutions she is in the thick of it.
Please listen to this episode and consider donating to this cause.
HARBOR NEIGHBORHOOD RELIEF FUND
To provide immediate support and resources to the most vulnerable populations in the Harbor area.
The Harbor Neighborhood Relief Fund is a centralized resource formed in order to respond to the immediate needs of the most vulnerable populations in the LA Harbor area — especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Donations will pass directly though Feed and Be Fed (FBF), a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, and administered by the San Pedro (SP) Chamber of Commerce’s Quality of Life Committee (QoL). QoL will be made up of: Current QoL Committee members and San Pedro Faith Consortium members (including FBF representation).
The SP Chamber and Faith Consortium will solicit contributions from their communities — people and entities that would like to address the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations in our communities. Funds would, for example support:
Contributions would be made directly to — and accounted for by — FBF, with the assistance of the SP Chamber. No administrative costs/fees will come from the fund. One hundred percent of the fund will pass through to the community.
Additionally, the Harbor Neighborhood Relief Fund will provide In-kind donations and pro-bono services to vulnerable populations and the community-based organization’s (CBO) that serve them.

Hello, everyone. In this episode Josh and I talk about the jump in cases from our last episode which was originally 55 cases (over 20 case jump from last week) but the day after we recorded, that number jumped to a total of 70 cases! That means that there's been approximately a 40 case jump since our last Pedro& Corona episode. This just means we all have to continue doing our part and stay at home.
We also focus on the things we miss and look forward to during our time of isolation. Josh suggests everyone take a break from the screens and listen to some music. I couldn't agree more.
