In an interview with Diary of a Naija girl, Daniel Erin-Effiong said:

"The first approach to your partner messing up in a marriage should be to come from a place of 'how can I help you. You should ask how can I help you out of this problem. If they cheat on you, they are in a problem so you should ask yourself how you can help them get out of that problem and then you people can start healing. 

You should think about how you can help him out of that problem, so he can come to you so that you both can solve it together. You shouldn't think about how you are hurting because that isn't going to solve the problem, try to solve his own problem and deal with it together. 

Cheating is just an ordinary offense like lying, stealing, like talking to you anyhow. It's just a problem and you should help him".
