A viral video has sparked conversation in Nollywood after actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele appeared to ignore her colleague, Toyin Abraham, at a movie premiere in Lagos.

The incident occurred on Sunday night during the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, a film by Iyabo Ojo, held at the Balmoral Event Centre.

In the circulating video, Abraham is seen approaching Akindele in what appeared to be an attempt to greet her. However, Akindele did not respond and kept her gaze elsewhere, prompting speculation among fans and industry observers.

A Nigerian pastor and founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has officiated the marriage of a young autistic man, known as Aboy Chibuzor, to an older single woman.

The wedding, held on Sunday, March 29, at the church, followed public backlash over a viral video in which the cleric sought a wife for the man.

Aboy is non-verbal and requires assistance with daily activities.

According to the pastor, the groom was abandoned as a child at the church gate and has since been raised under his care.

The controversy escalated after she posted a video claiming to have the illness and shared her bank account details to solicit funds for surgery. 

Popular Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Blessing CEO made this known on Wednesday morning in a viral video shared on her Instagram page.

Breaking down in tears, she showed how cancer has been causing her hair loss.

The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has directed his legal team to proceed to court over the ongoing controversy involving Mrs Tracy Ohiri.

Ohiri had previously accused the minister of owing her and an attempt to sleep with her.

While the drama was on, Mrs Ohiri made a video where he denied all the allegations she levelled against the minister.

However, barely a week after the video, she recanted.

But Umahi has insisted that the matter must be resolved through due process following what he described as a failure to provide credible evidence.

Britain has struck a new return agreement with Nigeria, designed to ease the return of rejected Nigerian migrants with no right to remain in the UK. 

At the heart of the deal, Nigeria pledged to accept UK identification documents of people with no right to be in the UK.

Until now, British authorities had to wait for emergency travel documents to be issued for people without passports before they could proceed with removals; but moving forward, UK issued identification documents — known as UK letters — will equally be accepted by Nigerian authorities to establish the identity of people who are to be returned to Nigeria.

This will primarily affect people who overstay their visas as well as Nigerian criminals and failed asylum seekers.
