Jean Callahan is a seasoned executive search leader serving in dual roles as Partner at Discovery Search Partners, a Signium firm, and Managing Director at Latin America Executive Search Consultants (LAESC). She brings more than two decades of cross-border search experience in life sciences, healthcare, and industrial sectors, helping organizations identify and hire transformative executive talent across the Americas.
At Discovery Search Partners, Jean partners with clients ranging from early-stage biotech companies to multinational pharmaceutical and medical device firms. She advises boards and executive teams on talent strategies spanning R&D, HR, legal, finance, operations, and commercial leadership. Known for her high-touch, consultative approach, Jean believes that great recruiting impacts not only the business but the lives of the people who join it.
As founder and Managing Director of LAESC, Jean continues to lead senior executive searches throughout Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. Originally launched in 2008 as a spin-off from A.T. Kearney Executive Search—where she served as Managing Director for Latin America based in São Paulo—LAESC remains a trusted partner to organizations navigating international market entry and growth strategies.
Jean is particularly passionate about championing diverse leadership and expanding representation across the industries she serves. A longtime advocate for inclusion, she is known for building strong client relationships, mentoring emerging professionals, and delivering results that align with each organization’s values and culture.
She earned her Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. Based in Miami, FL, Jean actively collaborates with clients and candidates across North America, Latin America, and beyond.
