Helping the indigenous disadvantaged in Australia

13.4 percent of Australians are below the poverty line. That’s approximately one out of eight people Even more frighteningly 1/6 children live in poverty.

30 percent of Aboriginals are below the poverty line.

This translates to approximately 120,000 people.


In a 2016 study the Australian government stated that 47% of aboriginal and Torres straight Islanders lived in the most economically disadvantaged areas in Australia.

 Today we talk to someone who is devoted his life to help with these socio economic problems and make a difference in peoples lives right now.

Ross Tanimu is a psychosocial recovery coach and he shares his insights and experience on the front line battling for the economically advantaged and helping them help themselves.
