HempLogic founder Cory Sharp meets with fellow Marine veterans Andrew Ross and David Dirkson of Patriot Shield to discuss the logistical - and legal - details of hemp transportation and security.

Ross and Dirkson detail the planning, communications and challenges of transporting hemp across the United States, especially when dealing with law enforcement that see marijuana, not a legal load of industrial hemp. Dirksen and Ross were arrested back in January and faced potential ‘life in prison’ charges for a legal load of hemp seized by Oklahoma offices as marijuana. It took seven months of legal maneuvering for the DA to drop the case. 

Since then, Ross and Dirkson have been on a campaign to educate law enforcement about hemp transportation issues and are now working on new tracking logistics to follow hemp products all the way from legal hemp farms, to final destinations. Patriot Shield also ships hemp seeds, seedlings and most recenlty, smokable CBD hemp flowers.
