HEMPodcast

Sitting around the shop talking about the Vegas and Parkland shootings, discussing ways to fix our communities. We decided to bust out the phone recorder and do a quick podcast.

D'Aaron Mata, Vichelle Sanders, Sady Lindberg, Sam, Nathan and special guest caller, Eli, discuss how we can begin to heal the community. What you can do as a person to help and where we go from here.

Eli sums up perfectly at the end with some simple advice that makes to much sense.

Happy Earth Market is so happy to have a young and beautifully inspiring man, Minister Stretch Sanders as our second One Human Stand guest! Stretch is the founder and President of All Shades United and the Black Church for Human Rights. He's been active in Las Vegas for years and is known for his motivational speeches at protests, open forums, and public educational events. Please join us for another intimate night of conversation and education as Stretch shares his perspective on race divides, the Black Lives Matters movement, civil rights, and how to start the needed change and give power back to the people. One Human Stand is a monthly series featuring a single human in our community that is affecting positive change through activism, the arts, or by Being. We encourage you to attend as many of these events as possible to expand your understanding of issues facing our community, environment, and Self.

On our first live episode, we sit down with the intelligent and funny comedian, Gabriel Castillo. We discuss his road to stand up, the current social climate, and some popular conspiracy theories.

He discusses the councils roll to uphold Treaty of Ruby Valley (1863), the role of the Elder community and how to continue their native values while fighting to stop the spread of drug abuse and alcoholism within his community.
