Henrico County on Monday will launch its Employee Home Purchase Assistance Program, a new initiative through which during the next year the county will help cover some downpayment and closing costs for about 100 county employees who are buying their first homes or who have not owned a home in at least five years. A Hungary Creek Middle School student was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon while leaving school. The student suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to Henrico Police. The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. at Francistown Road and Shimmering Lane, at the entrance to the school's parking lot. The student was crossing the street in the crosswalk when struck. Henrico Police on Tuesday identified the two victims of Monday's homicides in the River Mill community in Glen Allen as Malcolm Moody, 38, and Albert Moody, Jr., 70. The Moodys were father and son. Their bodies were found inside the home owned by Malcolm Moody in the 11000 block of Little Five Loop. Police continue to investigate their deaths but have not said whether they are seeking a suspect or suspects in the case. Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation will implement nightly alternating single and double-lane closures in both directions of I-95 between Chamberlayne Avenue (mile marker 81) and the I-295 Exit (mile marker 85) from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m., beginning Dec. 4, as crews begin demolition and removal of the Scott Road Overpass Bridge. One person died in a crash that occurred in Eastern Henrico Monday afternoon. Henrico Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Adarius Jerome Faulcon. The crash happened at approximately 1:37 p.m. at the intersection of Old Masonic Lane and 8th Street. The road was closed for about an hour as police officials investigated the incident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will work to determine Faulcon's exact cause of death. Henrico Police are conducting a homicide investigation in the county’s River Mill community in Glen Allen, and neighbors told the Citizen that two people were found dead in a home there.
