A team of students from Henrico High School won the Virginia and Washington, D.C. High School Mock Trial Competition, held at the Henrico County courthouse March 18 and 19, and next will compete at the National High School Mock Trial Competition in Little Rock, Arkansas in mid-May. An 18-court indoor/outdoor pickleball facility is being planned for the former Macy’s location at Regency. Officials from Performance Pickleball RVA made the announcement Thursday and released renderings of what the facility will look like. The first phase of plans will include 12 dedicated indoor courts, immediately making the facility the largest indoor pickleball operation in Virginia. The second phase will include development of six outdoor courts, as well as an outdoor area for spectators. The Virginia Board of Medicine suspended the license of Henrico Chiropractor Dr. Aaron Winston after a patient alleged Winston made inappropriate, sexually-charged comments and fondled her while she was a patient of his between July 2019 and July 2023. The patient told the Board she reported her allegations to Henrico Police in July 2022 and a spokesperson said they do have an active criminal investigation related to the complaint.
