  • Fierce Beginnings: Embracing the New Year's Challenges and Making Your Business Soar in 2024
As the New Year approaches, we can often feel a mixture of emotions that can leave us feeling quite confused or stressed about what lies ahead for us, especially as entrepreneurs when nothing is guaranteed.
Our success depends on so many factors that are out of our control and the thought of the New Year can make us as anxious as it does excited.

This episode looks at how we can adopt a new approach to the New Year when it comes to achieving our business goals. It talks about taking the pressure off by forgetting the list of things you want to achieve in the next 12 months and instead focusing on the one thing you most desperately want for yourself and going ALL IN on it.

It's a positive and motivating episode to give you the emotional boost you need to start 2024 off with the best possible mindset to moving your business forward and getting closer to living the life you want.

It looks at maintaining this enthusiasm and positivity when life gets hard and Joanne shares her own fears about how she plans to succeed in business, despite some difficult and personal challenges that lie ahead in 2024.

It also looks at the benefits of having the right support in place for you and your business to reach your goals quicker.

  • Our Business, Our Baby: How To Deal With Difficult Customers When You're a Creative Sensitive Soul
How many of us avoid starting our own business because we're fearful of dealing with difficult customers? The thought of taking on all the accountability for things that sometimes go wrong is enough to put us off ever doing it.
As creatives, we're sensitive souls and we are very protective of our work. So how do you deal with it when someone attacks your baby? This episode is all about how to handle those stomach churning moments when you receive a complaint that shakes your confidence and makes you want to hide away, never to be seen again.
I give you all the tools you need in your emotional toolkit to deal confidently with these disgruntled customers so you don't let them veer you off your creative course.
I talk about my experiences with difficult customers, how I've learnt to handle it over the years and what I've come to realise (spoiler alert - the customer isn't always right..!)
It's time to let go of the fear of not being able to please everyone and be confident in our ability to handle confrontation without letting it ruin our experience as a small business owner.

  • My Story: How I Started an Online Creative Business From Nothing
This first episode is all about how I started up my online handmade stationery business at the age of 27 years old. I share details of what I did to get my work out there for people to see and how I made my first sale (and subsequent ones). I touch on the reasons why starting my own business was the only option for me. I also reveal the different ways I achieved my initial success to get it off the ground.
It's a very personal episode which will provide you with an insight into me as a person and the challenges I've faced during the course of running my business but proves that with a level of determination and resilience that only women hold, anything is achievable.
I hope it inspires you to make that first move to make money from doing something you love and living a life of freedom which only comes with being self employed.
This episode is the first of many that aim to bring you inspiration and motivation and equip you with the knowledge and confidence to do exactly what I did and start your very own creative business.
