This episode unpacks selective empathy, media silence, compassion fatigue, and the dangerous myth that some crises are simply “too complicated” to care about. We talk honestly about why Sudan, despite facing famine, mass displacement, and extreme violence is still treated as background noise rather than a global emergency.

This is my invitation to you, to sit with the truth long enough that it becomes impossible to unsee.

As a young Muslimah raised in the West, Laila navigates her love for Islam, her academics, and all her other responsibilities. To the world, Laila had it all worked out, but to Laila she was crumbling beneath the weight of her mental health. Episodes of anxiety and depression overtook her, she felt she had nowhere to turn, she began to question Allah's love, the only source of hope in her life.

How does Laila navigate it all? Is this a punishment from Allah?

Assalam Alaikum! A new episode finally after months. So many of us are dreamers, never seeing a reason to give up, while the rest of struggle to find a reason to keep trying. This story is for you, a story of a woman who never gave up hope and trusted Allah to the end. In a desert alone with a baby and no food, not even any water, she never questioned why Allah brought her here. She never cursed her situation or her husband who left her there, she sought for a solution in the desert, praying to Allah and putting her trust in him. This is the story of the miracle of zamzam water, the story of Hajer (RA) and her trust in Allah when everything seemed impossible and all odds were against her.

Salam! New episode after the long break. With it being Ramadan I know a lot of us are making dua for whatever it is we want. We're always motivated to make more dua when we hear others talk about how thier duas were answered, but what about those duas that were never answered? how do we move forward knowing things aren't going our way? Let's learn how to increase our trust in Allah, even as we watch our lives go in the opposite direction. Trust, the glue binding the relationship between you and Allah.

We're going to talk about something most of us have many of or at least a handful of, but never really look deeply into. The people around us, especially those who we keep very very close and interact with often, have a huge effect on who we are, who we want to be, and who we believe we can be. The people around you should not be your only source of goodness, but they should supplement the goodness in your life and in your character to further lead you to jannah. Your love for one another should reflect that of two people who cannot see jannah without the other by their side. So get ready to really look into your life and consider, who should I keep close?

Assalamalaikum! With Ramadan getting closer and closer, we find ourselves in a position where we question who we want to be during Ramadan and how we will get there. When it comes to self growth, many of us struggle with change and the idea of disconnecting from this person we've always identified with, so we struggle to allow ourselves to change and we become our own road block. This year, we are going to be selfish. We are going to pour all our energy into growing and becoming who we've always wanted to be. We are going to block out judgment, fight our mental blocks, and grow into the person who we look up to. Join this little mindful journey of self growth.

Sabr and tawwakul, they go hand in hand, we hear them every day and probably say them just as much, but what do these terms really mean? how do we take them and apply them not only to our struggles, but to every moment in our lives, good and bad. Such simple words are so easy to to say and even easier to misunderstand. In today's journey we'll explore what most of us think tawwakul and sabr are, but also how we should really be applying these concepts to gain the most from them Inshallah!

Salamalaikum! The struggles with hijab just seem to never end, and there's always a new challenge coming our way. It's exhausting, and tiring, and sometimes even discouraging. We find difficulties in putting it on, then once we've worn it we are faced with the difficulties of being consistent. Where do we find peace? Through my journey I've learned that the love we have for the hijab has to come from within, that's the only way we'll remain consistent and pure in our intentions.
