March 10, 2023 EP 11: Surviving Postpartum Psychosis - My Story
I am a postpartum psychosis survivor. Many people don't know what that is. I certainly didn't. I've mentioned that I had this experience in a few of the earlier episodes, but in this episode I GO INTO IT. This is a podcast interview I did with Amy Lowney of Instinctive Birth and Beyond podcast. She held beautiful and compassionate space for me to tell my story.
If you know another woman who has gone through this experience, I encourage you to ask if sharing this episode would be supportive to them before just sharing it. There were times in my healing journey where listening to another woman's story was too much and too triggering to my own healing. And there were other times in my healing where hearing other women's story of survival was the thing I yearned for the most.
